Becoming a member of the Oakville Track Club, and its competitive arm, Athletiques International, is just a matter of attending one of our practices. If you decide that it's what you want, registration papers are given for you to take home.
As mentioned on the "Contact Us" page, we do not have "auditions" or "try-outs"; it is not the responsibility of the members to make the club look good, which is what happens when a club takes only those that pass their test, rather, it is the responsibility of the club to meet the wishes of the members, whether it is a matter of simply wanting to make your school team, or making a Provincial or National Team, depending on the talent of the athlete.
We have members that will register for indoor training with the goal of making a school team, whether it be the County Championships for Elementary schools, to making OFSSA for High Schools. For those athletes, we have a Spring membership for $35, which makes the member eligible for any and all practices up to their school Championships.
Athletes coming home from University often take advantage of our Summer programme, for $50 which runs from June until September 1.
New members often show up in the Fall, to train for cross-country, or have simply waited until school started to get involved. These members pay only $25, which allows them to attend any and all practices until December 31.
Many of those that first come out for the Fall programme take out a Full membership for the following year. The $75 for that membership earns them a club T-shirt as part of their initial membership, and the loan of a club singlet for any competitions.
